School Council
At Highlees we agreed to introduce a School Council Commitee. we have two representives from each class, who attend each meeting. We also have an executive commitee, with a Chairperson, Vice-chairperson, Secretary and a Treasurer.
School Council 2009-2010
Our School Councilers for this year have been selected and are as follows.
Chairperson: Olivia Albone-Keltie
Vice Chairperson: Mwansa Tengenesha
Secretary: Fay Boyer
Next Meeting - 8th December 2pm in the Conference Suite
Chairperson
As Chairperson you make important decisions to help the school, you need to be able to listen to all the people at the meeting and make sure everyone gets a chance to speak.
Vice-Chairperson
The Vice-Chairperson assists the Chairperson and takes on his role when the Chairperson is unable to attend the meetings.
Secretary
The Secretary takes all the minutes (writes down peoples ideas) and prepares the agenda (a list of what to talk about) for the next meeting. They notify the office of what the commitee has agreed to buy or what they need to order.
