I have been overwhelmed by the response the survey has received. Over 300,000 children, young people, parents and carers have participated, making it one of the largest surveys of its kind!  

This is the final push to hear from even more children before the survey closes, it is so important that every child in England has an opportunity to tell policy makers what they want and need ahead of the General Election.  

By sharing my survey with your pupils and parents or carers, you can make sure that the children and young people of Peterborough are fairly represented in the results.

The kitchen staff had a hard time deciding who the winners would be.

Well done to all of you, your entries were amazing.

It is going to continue to be super hot over this week and next. As a country we are experiencing unusual high temperatures which we are not used to.  Please ensure your children are prepared. 

Always remember:

1. SLOP on at least factor 3 sun cream over any part of the body not covered by clothing .... don't forget the tops of your ears?!  We would ask you to apply this to your children before they come to school if they are unable to apply it themselves please.

2. SLIP on a T-shirt to cover your shoulders.

3. SLAP on a named sun hat.

4. WRAP on sun glasses to protect your eyes.

And as always drink plenty!!!  We would recommend that all children have a named refillable water bottle with them in school every day during the summer months please.

Here is some help of how you could help at home.

We are very proud to announce that we are launching our Highlees Forest School next week. Mrs Powell and Miss Jarvis will be leading on this programme. 

Over the year, all children across Highlees will have the opportunity to take part in amazing activities within our own forest area. This will include, building dens, making tree swings, making bug homes,

Welcome back, I do hope you all managed to keep safe and well over the summer holidays. It is so lovely to see all the children back, they are looking so smart in their school uniforms. 

As you know the children are not now in bubbles, the smiles and laughter around school is infectious. It is so great to see the children working alongside their friends. 

The term has begun well, the children have all started their new curriculum topic with lots of exciting things planned for this term.
