Year 6 are continuing to learn about the Victorians, their innovative technology and the impact on the wider world. We have enjoyed learning about Queen Victoria's life; the British Empire and the Great Exhibition. In maths, we have studied factors, multiples, prime numbers and square numbers. This week in English we are writing a balanced argument about 'Should mechanicals be allowed the same responsibilities as humans' based on our class text Cogheart and taking part in a debate. Our love of science has developed our skills in making predictions and completing various experiments such as: producing periscopes; splitting light; refraction using water; prisms; designing colour wheels and absorbing light. In RE, the classes have been learning about Judaism and the festivals Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashannah and forgiveness.
